how does a candle warmer help prolong the candle life?
whats the differance in burning time between using a candle warmer and lighting the wick of a candle. I don’t see how the candle would last longer with a warmer.
A candle warmer uses heat to warm/melt a candle. Using this method instead of the wick & flame allows the entire candle to be used. A flame can never really burn the entire candle. In addition, a candle warmer results in a purer smell, undiluted by the smell of smoke and burning.

I use a candle warmer once the candle has burned down and there is no longer a wick left but there is still wax in the bottom. Then it heats that wax and emits the smell for about a week longer. You can then pour that wax into a tart mold and use it on a popurri tart warmer for about another week (or add more fragrance). If you put a full candle jar new on the warmer the bottom third melts and the top 2/3 stays solid, you do not get the smell because it is blocked by the solid wax. Then when you light the candle and it burns down to the area where the wax melted on the burner, it burns funny. Been there, tried that….So in answer to your question, it prolongs the life of the candle only after the wick cannot be lit any further and it gives you a means by which to utilize the wax at the bottom you would otherwise dispose of.

It depends mostly on the quality of the fragrance and somewhat on the wax. You of course know that when you burn a candle it burns away when you use a warmer it does not, but eventually the fragrance is gone with a warmer even though most of the wax remains.
I make my own candles, I light them or use the warmer depending on the mood I am trying to set. I do not put wicks in the ones I know I am going to use on the warmer. I have the option of adding additional fragrance to the "warmer candles" when the fragrance fades. Soy candles will completely liquefy on a warmer no matter how large they are and offer a superior scent throw over paraffin candles. Soy is also non-toxic so you don’t get that black soot when you burn them. Paraffin is made from crude oil and releases known carcinogens when burned.
I buy all of my supplies from the same company because they offer superior quality. It is a network marketing company but you do not have to become a network marketer just to buy supplies. They also have some pre-made soy blend candles that are non-toxic if you are not interested in making your own. Hope this helps. I have included a link for you.
