How do you remove candle stains from a tablecloth?

I have quite a dilema: I just had a party involving table cloths & candles-my problem is I got candle wax on the tablecloth-but made the mistake of washing it already? I need some tips to get the wax out… Help?

Get some grease proof paper or wax paper – place it on top of the wax stain and iron it. It should come right out.

Put a clean paper bag over it and run a hot iron over the top. Move the paper to a clean spot and repeat until the stain is gone.

Try using lighter fluid. Only try it first in a corner that is not visible to see if it does not make the colors run.

Take brown paper bags from the grocery store; place the bags on each side of wax stain. Press the top bag with a warm iron, without using the steam, until the wax melts into the bags and away from your tablecloth.

Hot iron and plenty of toilet paper to absorb the melted wax, its better than kitchen roll but not as good as old fashioned blotting paper I watched my mother doing it , and I am 77

Place a damp towel over the waxed areas and iron it on high heat moving the towel to keep a clean area over the affected area the heat will draw from the tablecloth

Using the Iron and Paper may work if the tablecloth was not put in the dryer. The dye from the candles may have permenantly set. In the future, consider soy-based candles that clean up with hot, soapy water. If you would like to shop for some, visit http://www.mycandlefarm.com.
