When you have off as much as you can, then take some soft paper towels and lay on the cloth and use a blowdryer on low or med setting to melt the residue and lift off the wax. Then inspect the type of material the grille is made off... With your iron set on it's lowest setting, no steam, take a few white paper towels stacked on top of one another and gently move the iron on top of the paper towels check every few minutes to see that the wax is soaking into the paper towel, and change the paper towels as needed. Be careful not to press too hard you don't want to scorch the fabric.
